Kids Bike Sizing Chart
Sizing a bike for your child is tricky. Kids grow fast! Getting them on a properly sized bike will help grow confidence and set them up for years of success riding bikes. Happy kids will result in happy parents! We’ve put together a “rough” size chart to help you get started. We’re not guaranteeing this will be 100% accurate, but based on our experience, this at least provides a place to start:

Just received the 24 X2 today after 3 days wait!
Assembled the bike with my 8 yr old son who is going to be riding it. This is to upgrade his Trek Roscoe 24″ due to the need for suspension on more aggressive trail here in Victoria. The bike assembly was smooth without any hiccups. Had to recalibrate the brake but it was very easy.
The air suspension is very good and responsive. It is more suited for my some what light weight son comparing to a coil suspension. The tires are very grippy with decent traction which is perfect for what he is riding. I have compared with other bikes such as Kona Honzo, Rocky Mountain Growler/Vertex, Norco…etc and this X2 has everything I need for my son to be confident on the trails. The gear ratio on this bike is also amazing which makes climbing an easy job for those skinny legs!
Overall I would recommend this bike to any parent who doesn’t want to spend the premium price ($1500+) but wants a bike that’s more than capable reaping through blue/black diamond trails in the woods!

About 6 months with it and am still impressed with the value of this bike. This was a great step up from a 20”rigid. The solid geometry, brakes, and fork all give my kid confidence controlling the bike at speed. He’s definitely taking advantage of the larger wheel size. The wide range cassette is a godsend for climbs too. He’s able to ride harder and longer. The fork settings took some doing to dial in but outside of some minor adjustments the bike is trouble free so far. Replaced the stock saddle right away otherwise happy to replace wear items as needed.

Ok, so this review is from 2 points of view – Dad who is looking for a great first ‘real’ MTB for his son, and Dad the bike mechanic………
Dad looking for bike:
I went back and forth and looked at several bikes – geometry, component spec, etc. Forth basically blew all the others away in that area. Compared to the ‘big guys’ who have to fund racing teams and large ad budgets, and therefore throw cheap stuff on the kids bikes to meet price, or charge high prices for good spec, Forth was the logical choice. It arrived quickly from Alberta to NC with no damage, was well packaged and easy to assemble. Hit all the points. Polygon’s bike did as well albeit with a better crank set, but was over $200 more. With the geo and specs of the 24 X2, my kid should get a few years riding out of it before I have to go bigger. 5 stars.
Dad the bike mechanic –
35+ years of riding and racing, 25+years of wrenching, wheel building, etc.
This is where they fall a bit short and have to be dinged.
Hydraulic brakes on this bike are great – bombproof Shimano stoppers. Nothing fancy, but reliable. However, the brake lines are WAY too long. Like might get snagged too long. So I’m gonna have to shorten them. I can easily do that but Average Dad sure won’t be able to.
And that crank…….Yes, its a cost savings to go square taper with stamped steel chainring. I get that. So I bought an upgraded crank with external BB for the bike (Still cheaper than the Polygon-including new crank, by a lot) Left side crank arm came off fine, but the right side….It was VERY over torqued. felt like someone put it on with an impact driver set too high. It took all I could do with a breaker bar just to get crank bolt off. Then, my crank puller tool pulled completely out of the arm when I went to pull the crank. It was torqued down so hard that a fully seated puller pulled out of the aluminum arm and stripped the threads. Now I gotta break out the big boy tools……. that said, not really an issue for Average Dad, he’s unlikely to do a crank upgrade on this bike but…..y’all should have it torqued properly. 3 stars from Bike Mechanic Dad.
So average: 4 stars. Forth, correct those assembly issues, make both dads happy and you guys get a solid 5 stars. I will recommend to others. Its a good bike regardless.

I have twins so I purchased 2 of these (24 X2) bikes for them, one red and one blue. They are awesome bikes, compared to the similar level bikes in the stores you get better components for a much better price. The service has been great also. The kids absolutely love these bikes and now they are ripping the bike parks on them. Highly recommended!
